We are thrilled to announce that Ina Sonnen has been awarded tenure at the Hubrecht Institute! Since 2018, she has led groundbreaking research on dynamic signalling in development, tissue homeostasis, and disease. Read more about her journey and lab here.

We’re super excited to share that Yasmine el Azhar has successfully defended her PhD, becoming the first PhD graduate from the Sonnen Lab at the Hubrecht Institute! Yasmine’s work, titled “Notch signalling dynamics during mouse development and homeostasis,” gave us amazing new insights into how the Notch pathway controls embryonic development and tissue maintenance. She […]
Jan-Daniël has joined the group as PhD student. He will study signalling dynamics in the small intestine and the relevance of signalling dynamics in the context of tumorigenesis. Welcome!
Today we had our first online joined lab meeting with the Garaycoecchea and Bothma labs. It also works via zoom …
Because of the Corona lockdown and working from home, we have taken the time to finally make a Sonnen Lab website.
Working from home
From today onwards, we have to work as much as possible from home. Only essential work can still be performed.
Let us introduce Sonja and Marek as new PhD students and Wilke and Joris as Master students.
Wouter Thomas and Yasmine el Azhar have started in the lab. Together we have efficiently set up the lab and got all experiments going.
Ina starts her lab on signalling dynamics at the Hubrecht Institute. She will investigate how development and tissue homeostasis are controlled with a particular focus on signalling dynamics. (picture credit: Thijs Rooimans, copyright Hubrecht Institute)
