We have published a new preprint on bioRxiv, revealing that the frequency of NOTCH-driven oscillations play a crucial role in regulating cell fate decisions during intestinal homeostasis. Their findings demonstrate that these oscillations are essential for maintaining the balance between stem cell maintenance and differentiation into absorptive and secretory lineages in the intestine.
This research provides new insights into the molecular mechanisms governing intestinal tissue homeostasis and underscores the importance of dynamic signalling in maintaining tissue integrity.
