In our recent review article, “Building bridges between fields: bringing together development and homeostasis”, we explore the shared principles underlying embryonic development and tissue homeostasis. While these processes were traditionally studied separately, we highlight how both rely on similar mechanisms, such as stem cell regulation and pattern formation, to maintain tissue integrity across the lifespan. By integrating insights from both fields, we aim to foster a more cohesive understanding of tissue dynamics and their implications for regenerative medicine.
